About The Role
Enforcement Officer (Planning) 

We are looking for an enforcement officer with a specialist knowledge of planning to join our busy established and friendly enforcement team. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of enforcement issues, liaising with our customers and other stakeholders to negotiate positive outcomes. It’s an exciting time for the Vale with the development of HS2 and Aylesbury having been granted Garden Town status.

You must have some previous experience in a town and country planning environment and should be able to read and interpret site plans and apply legislation. The ideal candidate will also have a background in investigatory and enforcement work.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised. You will need to be an excellent communicator, be able to work to a high professional standard and demonstrate an understanding of planning legislation and requirements.

We will provide a level of training and the opportunity to study for a professional qualification.
