About The Role

Regulatory Services Supervisor (Housing) – Customer Fulfilment

We are looking for a dynamic experienced people supervisor to work within our housing team. You will be a forward thinking, digitally focussed individual with demonstrable experience of managing a team of people and developing smarter ways of working. Following implementation of the Homelessness Reduction Act and the adoption of our new Allocations Policy this role is pivotal in managing the team through a period of significant change.

About You

You will be a proactive and enthusiastic individual with a passion for bringing about positive change and implementing new digitally focussed ways of working. As an experienced people manager you will be a great communicator and a strong team player and understand the challenges and opportunities of working in partnership. You will have experience of working within a fast paced environment and enjoy the challenge of being involved in developing new solutions that meet the strategic objectives of the team and wider projects.

About the role

The role is to provide supervisory support to the Housing Team Manager and will be responsible for managing a team of staff responsible for administration of the Council’s Allocations Policy. You will work very closely with the wider housing management team, other internal and external stakeholders, partners and organisations. You will be very comfortable working across teams and in a collaborative environment.

This role is pivotal to the success of the implementation of new process and procedure for the team following legislative change and will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and bringing forward change. You will have proven experience of delivering new initiatives in a team environment and finding solutions to complex solutions with a client centred approach. You will have excellent IT skills and have a strong understanding of the customer.
