About The Role

Rough Sleeper Co-ordinator (Fixed term until March 2020)

Aylesbury Vale has been awarded funding for the purpose of reducing Rough Sleeping in the Vale. The funding bid was based upon a number of initiatives outlined by the Council and involves working in partnership with external agencies, charities and housing providers to find housing and support solutions for those verified as homeless in the Vale. This very exciting project is in its second year and this role is pivotal to the successful continued implementation and management of the project.

About You

You will be organised and resourceful and enjoy working in a busy environment with changing priorities and a wide variety of work. You will ideally have experience of providing guidance and support to stakeholders, senior officers and stakeholders and will be able to effectively communicate at all levels. Coming from a similar project or housing advisory related or support environment would be distinct advantage. You will be a self starter and proactive individual and will enjoy the challenge of working with a very complex client group so that the Council can meet its strategic objective and the government strategy to end rough sleeping by 2027.

About the role

The role will be responsible for operational management of the project, reporting to the Project lead. You will have considerable latitude to organise your own workload and will be expected to work with the wider teams developing, maintaining all project reports and templates, managing and organising meetings and minutes, maintaining accommodation and client records and collating information for reporting to MHCLG. You will have excellent IT skills and a good eye for detail and will be a confident team player that will be proactive and collaborative in your approach to your work.

The role involves working in partnership with other organisations that form part of the wider Rough Sleeper Project Group including MHCLG and as such the role provides an exciting opportunity to be involved in a high profile influential environment.

We recognise that our success lies within our people so if you have the ambition, skills and experience we are looking for, you are inspired by our vision and you believe you can make a difference we’d love to hear from you.
