Community Safety Partnership Data Analyst (Crime Reduction Analyst)
12 months Fixed Term, 22.5 hours per week

Are you looking to further your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Safety Analyst within the Community Safety Partnerships in Buckinghamshire. 

As a key Community Safety partner, Aylesbury Vale District Council is looking for an experienced Community Safety Analyst to lead on the strategic analytical function supporting and informing both the priorities of District Community Safety Partnerships and the Safer Bucks Plan.

The main duties of the role are as follows;

• Analyse intelligence to identify patterns and trends which relate to the locations, victims, suspects, methodology and/or other activities; informing the work of the strategic and operational partnership groups around Serious Violent Crime, ASB, Criminal Drugs Exploitation, CSE etc.

• To produce the annual Strategic Assessment for the Safer & Stronger Bucks Partnership Board, appropriate for high level assessment as well as informing District CSPs of local priorities. Providing explanatory evidence behind trends and analytical evidence, challenging data where required, and offering recommendations where appropriate.

• Keep up to date with information sharing legislation to facilitate, develop and distribute the collection of partnership data across internal and external partners including other local authority departments, police, registered social landlords, probation, fire service, health and voluntary and community agencies/groups.

Employed by AVDC, you will be located at Aylesbury police station working alongside the police analyst and so a vetting process will be required to access appropriate systems.


• Standard DBS and police vetting.

• Relevant degree or working towards an equivalent qualification.

• Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following areas: crime, community safety and crime and disorder reduction, offender management, County Lines, youth offending, drugs and alcohol, Anti- Social Behaviour, Data protection & Information Sharing.

• Previous public sector experience.
