Your new role

You will handle building control case work and be an integral team member, ensuring the delivery of the Council’s objectives including the planning growth proposed in our emerging local plan.

What you'll need to succeed  

You will have experience of supporting Principal Officers and Managers within the built environment to maintain a professional high standard of service throughout.  You will have worked with a wide range of stakeholders and have a background in building control or construction, and have the ability to demonstrate skills in research, evaluation and preparing reports, notices and schedules, whilst having a clear and precise understanding relevant legislation and regulations.

Any changes made to the structure of local authorities in the county may affect council employees in the future but we do not anticipate any immediate impact.  Changes are likely to take a period of time and will not affect all areas of the Council.
